The Jaun Waterfall, also known as the Jaunbachfall, is a hidden gem located in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It’s situated in the Jaun Valley, opposite the village center of Jaun with its traditional wooden houses. The waterfall boasts an impressive height of 12 meters and a flow rate of up to 6,000 liters of water per second during peak season, making it a truly remarkable sight.
The Jaun Waterfall is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. Visitors can enjoy the view of the cascading water from a nearby observation deck or take a short hike to the base of the waterfall for a more immersive experience. If you plan to go to visit Jaun Waterfalls, either you can use swiss public transportaion by checking site www.sbb.ch, you can out the destination on the search option to Jaun Dorf. From the Bus Stop then follow the instruction to Waterfalls itself. If you plan to go with car then on your GPS you can put “Mülimatta 12 1656 Juan”, then follow all the direction and at the end you can park your car near to the waterfalls.
I was able to visit this Waterfall last weekend, even the weather itself not so friendly but still during my travelling with my car, i can enjoy many beautiful panoramic view. One thing i am intersting is enjoying driving my car on Jaunpass which has some bend path with panoramic view.
