Eventhoug I am a big fans of Autumn but i really enjoy also to welcome the Spring where everything is start for a new life and everything around slowly begins to turn green. Even better if you already know where to go to enjoy the spring vibes. As one of alternatif, you can put this place Les Prés-d’Orvin into your agenda to enjoy the Blooming of Wild Daffodils.
Les Prés-d’Orvin is an area above the village of Orvin in the Bernese Jura Mountains. In winter it is popular as a family ski area, but you can also cross-country ski, go winter hiking on or without snowshoes. From spring to autumn you can go on many popular hiking trails.
If you already decide to go to see Daffodils Bllom, then you can choose either with your car or with public transportation. When you decide to go with car then go into direction of Orvin. In the village, turn onto Route des Prés-d’Orvin and continue to the parking lot at the Bellevue bus stop. When you decide to go with public transportation then you can take the train and put Les Prés d’Orvin as destination. From the station there is a bus running hourly and it took 24 minutes to Bellevue.
The route starts right in the parking lot. Follow the yellow tourist sign in the direction of Jura SAC . You have to hike a little bit up to the hill , first between the houses and then through the forest. Then you will reach the plain until you reach the Métairie d’Evilard restaurant. From here it is a short walk up a short steep hill to a tourist hut.
All the view will be spectacular to see as all are turn to be Green or Yellow colours, and there are several stop by to enjoy drinks or snack in small restaurant. You can visit this place with friends or Family with kids, while the place is Child friendly even you can bring also stroll for small kids.
