One of the most striking elements of Fasnacht Solothurn is the elaborate costumes and masks worn by participants. A major part of Fasnacht Solothurn are the Guggenmusiken, brass bands that play loud, humorous music throughout the streets. There are over 80 Guggenmusiken in Solothurn, each with their own unique costumes and instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main part of this event is called “The Umz\u00fcge<\/strong>” which is means the Carnaval or Parade. The carnival itself perform two time, Sunday carnival and Tuesday carnival and both are started at 02:30 PM.
